Mark Hanlin, became interesting in diving with the original Sea Hunt  TV series in the early 60's.  He began scuba diving in 1964 taking a first course at a local YMCA.  Mark became a PADI Instructor in 1983 and acquired 18 Specialty Instructor ratings and becoming IDC Staff Instructor in 1989.  Mark came to work at Sunken Treasure in late 1983 and has been a staff member ever since that time.  Mark attended The Citadel and after graduation attended Florida Institute of Technology where he majored in Underwater Technology.  Mark worked for a small commercial diving company in West Palm Beach for a few years before returning to Pennsylvania and joining Sunken Treasure. During his commercial career Mark used most al the heavyweight and lightweight commercial equipment available from the Mark V to the Superlite 17.  Mark's favorite diving is wreck diving but enjoys almost all types of both fresh and salt water diving. When Mark isn't busy with Sunken Treasure and diving he also enjoys drag racing and car detailing in his spare time.
